Firsts and Lasts

My head is nattering on this morning about why it is that the human brain seems to have a natural habit of remembering firsts and lasts…

moments and memories 21 nov 2014 blogIt appears that this has something to do with life’s sweet spots being events rather than paving the continuum of our lifetimes. The eternal arc between these moments is cobblestoned with bubbles of memories that form in the light, and our sweat or tears. Look carefully, because within each fragile orb is a rainbow that transcends hope and so it is that remembering help us do what must be done on the path to becoming humankind. When our ‘Firsts’ are what nourish our lives, our ‘Lasts’ become dessert!

What kind of memories are you consciously making today?

What can you do today that you will remember a year from now?

What will you carry from today into forever?

A great reminder from you that helping to clear a flood damaged business for a friend is a bubble moment to be stored and treasured, or laughed about in the future.

Absolutely! Moments like this are like moving house; it’s when you discover the difference between true friends and friendlies. Thank you so much for reminding all of us that challenges are easier when we carry them together. Better still when we innovate to find solutions so we don’t have to lug them any more!

Harlon, I feel a deep sense of gratitude knowing your toes are on the planet. Thank you so much for passing this message on; I know it will help make the world a better place. I am just about to go live with the new and have no doubt you will appreciate it and what I’ve been ‘up’ to for the last few decades! 🙂

This really helped with how my mind gets set during the day. The gentle reminder that every day is meaningful. Thank you.
