Living with double hearts

_IGP4797This morning –before coffee– I read an article that woke me up!

The statement that grabbed my attention was this: “People with more bodily awareness tend have more intense reactions to emotive pictures and report being more greatly moved by them; they are also better at describing their feelings. Furthermore, the article goes on to report that “Importantly, this sensitivity seems to extend to others’ feelings…”

Click here to read an article well worth reading! Rest assured, the questions that will come up in your heart and brain are not any that I need to ask! Make a decision to be in touch with your body and heart and I suspect your brain will wake up, and if you consciously choose to follow what arises, you may well have a wonderful day filled with gifts and all manner of surprises.

P.S. About the picture…. this is clearly not Israel where I am now entering the final week in a two+ month visit, miracles and magic are the strands weaving my breath and creating the tapestry of my days. However, I fully admit that the emotional tug at my heart to go home to Minusio [Locarno], Switzerland is getting stronger by the minute!

Living the Quest or the questioning

there comes a timeAnd of course the ‘kicker’ in living our best answer is knowing when that answer is no longer valid. This is when we have to find the courage to take the time we need to ask the question again or find the new question. In this we are free to rediscover, speak and live our renewed answer.

A Request for Help

Simone webA wall mural I long ago painted of a tree in Monterey, California

Today I posted a true story on http://www.mereon.org, called “Simone’s Story”. It’s an account of a remarkable event that occurred in December 1997.

While the request we’re making may seem unusual, the strangeness will either expand or dissolve if you take a few minutes to read it. The story is shared in my new book, “A Footprint in Eternity”, but after all these years it seems important to put it out to the the world in the Internet as well.

The Request: If you will take the time to read this story and find a connection on your INNERnet, how grateful I along with the entire Mereon Team shall be if you will take the time to pass it on. When you finish reading it you will understand why I’m asking for your help.

Yes! I’ll read it!

Up from but still under the Silence

dec 19 2014 blogThere is no way to yet write about the ten-day retreat deep in the Swedish countryside, but this short post will suffice to say that it was a paradox in every possible way.

On the drive south it became clear that it was: as joyous as it was sad; as clarifying as it was confusing; and it’s no exaggeration to say that the time deconstructed as much as it renewed.

Since returning, my days have remained exceedingly silent as I’ve continued to work diligently, perhaps too hard and too many hours, to reorganize the material at mereon.org as we prepare for the New Year.

If you haven’t wandered around the site, please do so knowing that we look forward to hearing from you.

My thought for you today is that you will find a single drop and allow it to burst into light.
